The "Curly Shuffle" Caught on the game cam.
I was on the way back from the far North side of our Mile long hay field when the camera went off. I had hoped it was the same coon that had been scrounging around the feeder an hour before, but no, it was my lone boar out 2 hours earlier then the night before.
I had planned on simply parking the truck on the side of the road 100 yards away from the feeder and waiting for him to show. As mentioned before the road gets lots of traffic, not to mention the feeder is about 600 yards away from a busy FM road. I decided to drive right by the feeder, pull off, set up and wait for him to come back.
It took me a few min to get out, open up the back doors of the Suburban, get into the back, put the bi-pod back on the gun, and get set for the shot. He was right there only a few feet away from the feeder. I waited about 30 seconds for him to turn broadside, and ping. Look at how both of his hind legs are up in the air.
He took one Hornady 168 gr bthp .308 right behind the ear through the spine.
