Otay, It's Smoker Day

Snagged a slab of beef brisket at the store after returning home last week. A little dry rub (ok, a little more rub) and into the smoker with some hickory. So, I'll be smelling that goodness all afternoon long.

Got just a little bit more of the seasoned ground beef I cooked up... to go onto some warmed flour tortillas with some cheese and salsa... to tide me over during the day. Ain't gonna mess around tonight though. LOVE me some brisket !

Yesser, bargain basement deal, warranty is expired though.
The wife slow cooked (in a dutch oven) one of Saturday mornings back straps and made shredded pork sammiches for dinner last night. They were so good, Made me think of raising some more children.

Got some St. Louis cut ribs on the green egg smoking with cherry wood. Used my secrect dry rub. Corn on Cobb with smoked jalapeños stuffed with sausage and cheese. I am making my self hunger.

PS: smoking a Bolivar Habana...... Birthday gift from a great friend with a glass of cab.

Yup, more hickory added to the smoker... but, a minor emergency noted. That one and only beer that was in the fridge didn't last very long. May need to fire up the buggy and make a refreshment run.
