Feral Hog Poison

so in week 2 of their slow death I shoot one and eat it, leave the carcass and the yotes and buzzards eat that, how many will die or be damaged from that? This should be banned and the liability from unintended consequences charged directly to the people using it. Can you imagine I am hunting and kill a hog after 3 weeks of treatment on a neighboring property, I eat that hog and get sick or die? The people putting this poison out in the area will pay me or my family millions in damages, better up your liability insurance or possibly lose your land!

Supposedly once they eat the stuff the tissue between the hide and muscle turns a vibrant blue. I wouldn't eat it, but I agree with you Frank.

I don't think yotes, buzzards, foxes, hawks and eagles care about the color of the meat, right?

You're correct. I was referring to consumption by hunters.

"The duration of anticoagulant effect after a single dose of warfarin is usually 5-7 days. However, superwarfarin products may continue to produce significant anticoagulation for weeks to months after a single ingestion. In one reported overdose case with measured serum levels, the half-life of brodifacoum was 56 days. [4]"

I am really interested in how much the hog-only access dispensers are going to cost and how long that they will last. If you are a rancher with more than a couple hundred acres (and so many are), then you are going to want multiples of these feeders. And then the hogs are going to need to come to the feeders on a fairly regular basis for several weeks.

Should be an interesting experiment to see happen. I don't think we are going to be out of a job.

I think you are referencing this guy...
Why The Hell Is This Pig's Flesh Bright Blue?!

The fat turned blue due to ingestion of a rodenticide with a blue dye. It apparently does the same thing inside of rodents.

Well.....Maybe it's a good Anti-Hunting program in Place. The Liberal Nut Jobs would never let this stuff harm poor animals UNLESS...it also stopped hunters from going into the field. There are more and more Liberals in the Fish and Game Dept. every year. Something does not add up!

Not only that but when these hogs die...where do they die? Do they just fall over on the spot so they can be carefully removed and put into a big furnace somewhere? Poorly thought out or planned chaos!?

I can see this stuff being used to sabotage a hog farmer or other livestock. A farmhand want to get rid of the owner or a wife and there you go it will be called the "Blue Death" for terrorists to use!

This is sorta like monsanto poisoning all of us: Monsanto Has Knowingly Been Poisoning People for (at Least) 35 Years

Evidence has surfaced from the archives of the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) that now proves that Monsanto has been fully aware of the potential of glyphosate to cause cancer in mammals (human populations) since as early as 1981.

When the WHO recently announced that Monsanto’s glyphosate was “probably carcinogenic,” the first thing the company did was move to damage control – to “evade detection of apprehension” for their heinous deeds. Teams of writers with links to the biotech industry went to work refusing that their chemicals were causing cancer the world over, even though study after study has proven a link between the two.

How can Monsanto maintain that glyphosate and GMOs are harmless? What are these “800 studies” proving its safety, and where are they? And how can the EPA, which reviews extensive toxicological and environmental data before registering an active ingredient, corroborate such nonsense and classify glyphosate as “practically non-toxic” when there is so much evidence to the contrary? Especially when their own documents tell a very different story!

Done and more.

Lawman,

If you have other contacts besides our state reps could you please share them? The more of us that ring the phones off the hook, write letters, and emails the better.

Also, I read a few articles from office assistants in political offices. They stated that letters and emails do jot get much attention. Continually calling until you speak to the person you are trying to reach males the biggest impact.
