What does this bobcat have in its mouth?

This is the low resolution image that was emailed to me. Time-permitting, I will pull the card from the camera tomorrow and find out for sure. Any guesses? I am pretty sure it isn't a chupacabra.

I hope he's eradicating the truly rabid verminous ones.

That is just creepy, RD!

My wife thought the coloration between the bobcat's legs was a turkey tail. I think that is just shading.

I don't think I have seen a jackrabbit on my place, though I know of a population only a few miles away. I don't doubt they could be there.

We do have a few, overly well feed squirrels that get rather large.

Taco, good point on the butt. Maybe the bobcat is a mama carrying a kitten?

I will pull the card tomorrow...

I had some things come up and didn't get the card pulled until yesterday. I blew up the full resolution image. Turns out that the bobcat definitely has a squirrel.

It would appear that the bobcat or other critter is feeding on the animals attracted to the feeder. I found a pile of feathers (song bird?) under the game camera when I pulled the card.
