Verizon Drops Sportsman Channel: Ted Nugent Goes Nuts in on-air Rant

Nugent has gone crazy, but Verizon would not have dropped the channel(s) (not just Nugent's channel) if they were profitable. The claim of anti-NRA is just political hot air blather. Verizon claimed low viewership and Sportmans Channel noted that it had to do with negotiations. No doubt they did not reach a $ figure that both could agree upon and so Verizon let it go.

This wasn't a political statement. It ALL comes down to profits on both sides of the equation.

They are anti gun, the Sportsman's channel is a money maker but there are always negotiations all the time...CBS is arguing w Direct right now

They certainly held a gun to my head last time I signed a 2 year contract...can't be too anti-gun. lol

SC may be a money maker, but it has to be at an agreed cost. Verizon is continually losing and gaining channels which has nothing to do with politics.

If politics was the key, then the History channel and Hero channel would have been long gone already.
