Spring turkey with the 17wsm

Lawdawg-professional snake handler! Baaaahhahhaaaa! If you would have let him lock on to your hand when you jerked it back you would have pulled him with it. Looked like a Bullsnake to me. Good hunt!

I bet since you are going to get LSB shirts and caps you are certainly going to get Team Oink shirts and caps too. Right?

Yea it was a bull snake. Ive been bit enough I dont want anymore!!!

They may not have venom, but a bite from one could be septic. Venomous, or not... homie don't like snakes w/o glass 'tween us!!!

Congrats on the tom. Some fine meals off that flapper.

Good video but a little long winded. When shooting turkeys with a small caliber I always aim at where the neck meets the body. Small little spot for the vitals.

What you didn't have 23 min of your time to waste!

Good vid... definitely showed some persistence! Nice turkey and happy hunting!

Lol...I had to pause it like 3 times while my wife had to tell me a story, then show me her new bathroom mirror, answer a phone call.....

Awesome video!

Hunting turkey with a rifle in SC is a big no no, but it is cool to see that you can do it in TX. We can't bait turkey either.

Good video TLM, weather cold/rain stinks but successful in the end.
Agree with RS Dan, base of the neck on the bird seems to work best - too easy for the turkey to move its head while pulling the trigger.
Congrats.

Heck it's so draconian on bait here that if you hunt on a site that had bait on it within 10 days it's still no bueno! The lease got it's start as an Osceola Turkey lease only...no deer....hogs...nothing but turkeys so that still rings true to a lot of the members that place is like Fort Knox the day rifle season ends.

I almost paused it for my wife's call then had a brilliant idea and put her on speaker phone that's my favorite part!

Congrats.
That first jake I was aiming base of neck I think the bullet hit a twig and deflected. Either that of I pulled a DJ but I'm sticking to the twig story!

W/O wanting to sound creepy... her voice is one someone could enjoy hearing... unlike SOME out there.

In Illinois no baiting, shotgun or archery only. Nice bird! Congrats.
