I got a shot of adrenaline that got me wound up when I had to go get that pig...I did not want to lose him! lol I just cut lengths of rope and have them ready to go but you need the right rope..I have lost many hogs out of my truck...and at 65mph!
I once lost a bunch of little guys and re-caught them the next day with little blue ropes on their feet!

I did the livestock trailer deal for a while but it was a pain in many ways and not really working for me. I built a hog trap on wheels but a guy came and bought it before I got to use it. My traps are usually open on top enough to drop down lariat, pull hog up through top and into truck, usually goes faster. I am out of practice and using some homemade trap a guy left on ranch over a year ago. I haven't really trapped for the last year, maybe closer to 2 years now.
