This was a fun way to hunt tonight. Went to some new ground with some buddies, one of whom had a jeep.
So we decided to take the top off the jeep and I stood up in the back holding onto the rollbar looking for hogs wearing my breach helmet.
We didn’t see anything until turning around and coming out of the last field for the night when I spotted what look like a group of hogs waaaaaayyy out in the middle out in the wide open.
Closer inspection with my pulsar indicated a sounder of 15 or so.
My buddy standing beside me was a little under gunned with my 9mm since we could only get to about 100 yards of them due to a bright moon and a significant amount of water between us in the hogs. I felt like we would make too much noise in the soft mud trying to cross it to proceed.
Heard him connect about three times but I don’t think anything dropped. Four dead ones in total.
