Walp, we located a sounder or two of hogs. Embarrassed! Hehehe. Right over the hill and down in a hole from our hunt camp. They hocked in the dogs middle of the cutover and it was on. Anyhow, one of our young members Mr Andy knocked this one down in the melee. I helped to get it out with the ATV and he let me have the pig. A flurry of YouTube and Google searches commenced from yers truly tryin to figger out what to do with the thing now I had one. Videos I saw on the quick seemed to range from Bubba & Billy-Bob's crappy camera angles (with even crappier music) to "The Perfessor" from some state school or agency doin the deed with a a lame version of MOP gear on.
I'll be lookin, but any links to a proper vid of how to get it done appreciated.
I also located a sounder myself. After getting a way late start and thinking I'd screwed up the stand on the way in I got flustered and just plopped my carcass down at the base of a tree overlooking the corn pile down in the bottom. Two deer came in and busted me and then a sounder came in to the corn pile.
(Note to self:Git up in the tree anyways, ya lazy slob!) In my "excitement" I learned a valuable lesson about why when one is using a SCAR17s with the reciprocating bolt handle and ejection port on the right side one DOES NOT lean the right side against a
tree to "steady the shot".
**sigh** But anyways, I'm still jazzed that I actually saw some on somethin I put together. Now if only I can just get
MY act together..
