I think that folks that grow their own veggies and fruits should definitely look into having a hive. Makes complete sense... at least to me it does.

Me also 2mag. They are so easy to work with and the potential is there for great rewards. I am working on a plan to keep several hives (100+) in the summer and trapping in the winter. I have been looking at land in the mountains to put the bees on during the nectar flow up there, and of course a small cabin. I will also have to get some lowland ground for over wintering the hives but if it works the bees will pay for it all. Fresh, raw honey is selling here for 20-25 dollars/quart and bees wax products always bring a premium. It is just fun.
