I had a friend out thermal hunting for the first time and we found a bunch of hogs. I just couldn't get him to pick a target and shoot quick enough. I was lucky to pick up this one on the run. I do think my friend got hooked on night hunting though, he's ready to try again real soon. Maybe we won't get busted next time.

The first couple of times I used my Thermal I thought I had made a mistake buying it. I was thinking I could walk around at night and blast them. I couldn’t see where I was going and sometimes walked mindlessly around. It took some time before I figured it out.

I know what you mean! You lose all points of reference in the dark. It took me awhile to discipline myself to always know North and identify a radio tower, tall tree, fence, building or something to know my direction back to where I came from. A good GPS app on your phone is great for marking locations and distances.

Took a little longer but one hog down is better than none.
