Not the best shooting by me on the firt group of four, managed to get three of them but took way too many shots.

They were really close to me so the plan was to shoot the closest one first driving them away into the open field, then take out the largest one next. Started off great with the first hog going down dead right there! The second one I hit low which slowed her down. Third hog turned right at me! Just could not get my lead right on him for some reason, turns out he was only the size of a liter bottle I was thinking he was a full grown hog so my lead was all wrong doh! With thermal if you do not know your the size of something in your screen you can be really thrown off as I was this time.

As I swung back around to check for hogs I found the last hog out about 80 yards and poped her twice for the finish. While gathering the hogs with white light from my truck I heard something splashing back at the pond. Turning the thermal on I spotted a boar leaving the pond just missing the opportunity at a perfect broad side shot I had to take a rear end shot, the shot was about 100 yards and was good but he took off the second shot put him down for good.

Also got a pistol kill with the FNX45 and RMR combo the hog was on a fence line just laying there not sure if she was sleeping or what, was able to get right up an her and two shots in the ear she just rolled over dead. Got it on video with the thermal but she was coated with wet mud so was not showing up very well (predator! Arnold thermal camo lol).
 
That was quite a "journey" for that little guy running the gauntlet and dodging all those rounds!

So were you running the apollo pro 50mm on 1x ?
(i.e. with no scope behind)

Nice chootin' there Kemosabe. That little shaver definitely looked bigger than a 01 liter bottle. Like that set-up sequence while you walked up on the one with your pistola. Good stuff there.

Wish I'd've remembered to go out last night to see the blood moon. I spaced out.

Glad you were able to finish him off... that would've been one HURTING unit w/o a solid f/u hit. Nicely done.

Good shooting with nice cleanup.
Excellent production keeps moving and your interest up with a nice balance of stills, action, sound track and just the right amount of background music.
Well done all around.

Here in CenTex, we could sorta see a glow behind the clouds.....we checked every few minutes leading up to and after the event.
