Here's a thread of emails with Armasight/FLIR about their new Q14B. Read from bottom to top.

A: There are 9-13 different color options that can be adjusted. As mentioned previously the contrast levels can be adjusted as well.
Testing should be done before March. Yes higher resolution, higher price.

Sorry to disagree, but the brightness of the image that is delivered to your eye is a factor when you're hunting at night, which I do often. Can it be dimmed? Or are some of the color options less bright than others?
If it hasn't yet been tested for amount of recoil I would be reluctant to order it for my .308. I already have a hand-held so wanted one specifically to clip on to my rifle scope. When do you think the testing will be completed?
I assume the 640 model will be around twice the MSRP of the 320?
Thanks

1.Can you send me the specs? Is it 640? 60 hz? etc.
A: Currently, we are producing the 320 at 30Hz and the 640 at 30 Hz is in production. The 640 is looking to come out at the end of 2017.
2.Will it come with the ability to clip onto the front of a rifle scope (on a picatinny rail mount). If so, what would be the axis height (so that the scope lines up with it.) Would the mount be separate?
A: The Q-14B is still a prototype unit where we are testing all the specifications. It is able to be mounted 3 different ways; hand-held monocular, clip on and a standalone weapon sight.
3.Are there other options/models?
A: We have the previous version of the Q14 that still are in production is 320 and 640.
4.Is the illumination adjustable?
A: This is thermal so the illumination is not a factor because it uses heat to produce the thermal imaging. You do have 9-13 different color variations as well as contrast options.
5.Does it have auto or manual contrast adjustment?
A: Answered above.
6. What recoil can it handle when mounted on a rifle? (caliber, grain weight, etc.)
A: Answered in 2, still testing the options.
I believe these are not ready for market yet, right? But you can order in advance for delivery in spring?
A: Yes, we are taking pre-orders. I’ve attached a form we need in order to sell the unit.
