I've had a number of boars hitting this feeder the past 3 weeks. Finally had a chance to hunt so with a perfect wind and light rain, it was set to be a good night.

2.5hrs into the sit I notice the 3 coons eating corn go to full alert and make a break for cover. Something is incoming! Looking through the NVG's I see this boar cautiously approaching the feeder. Now, I've shot many hogs before, but have actually never attempted a neck shot. This time however, as soon as his front end cleared the juniper I put a 120SST square in his neck from 49 yards. Poleaxed him. He turned out much heavier than I expected. What a blessing!

good job!

Nice teeth on that sucker. Good going.

real nice
what NV devise do you have on the shooter and in front of what

for spotting I've use a pair of Gen3 PVS-7's, on the rifle is a Photon 4.6 XT digital. Night vision on a budget! Patiently waiting for thermal prices to decline as technology inclines!

Rifle is a piston LMT with 6.8 barrel. Very smooth shooting

Nasty old boar...good kill!

Nicely done... fine boar too ! Only thing "more gooder" than a stiff-legged topple, is a leg-buckling CNS flop.

Good one!

Nice looking boar there!

Solid boar down!! Nice rifle setup ... happy and safe hunting to ya!

Nice pig! I really like the neck shot with the way the neck and spine line up when in eating mode. If they move a bit forward it's still in the spine if they back up still in the head/brain. I've had shots that definitely missed hitting any bone, but the temporary wound cavity was enough to cause damage to the CNS where they just flopped like someone pulled the bones out of their legs not even a twitch just fallen statue.
