looks pretty good, too bad no reticle or sound though, thanks for the review
For me, that's not a big deal. How does the picture compare to a REAP IR? Obviously, you're comparing 320 vs 640, but I'm wondering about the picture clarity between the two.
What would be a better choice for helmet mount? For spot and stalk style hunting.
Is it possible to have 1 as a spotter and another PVS14 for walking through the brush?
Now THAT would be the deal breaker. The breach isn’t mating to helmets in the manner that was expected from what I’ve read. Not good reports so far. Don’t know if Todd has tried it.
What mount are the using? Not all mounts are created equal. The breach isn’t mating to helmets in the manner that was expected from what I’ve read. Not good reports so far. Don’t know if Todd has tried it.
I really liked playing around with my buddies breach last night. I think I burn through three batteries but it’s pretty cool.
I think I would personally be in the market for a 640 version but this one is no slouch.
I’ve never tried to walk around with anything attached to my head like that, both eyes open and full moon very bright skies, the field of view seems to match closely to the human eye field of view.
With the unit set to black hot, the display image color seemed to match the color that I was seeing naturally from my other eye at the same time.
It was bright enough that I would have never turned on a flashlight at all to navigate, and would love to get this out on a black dark night or in the woods on a black night to see how well you could navigate with it?
I also like the variable zoom better than the wayy PTS 233 zooms in 2X increments.
I could see deer and armadillos out across open fields farther away than I thought I would be able to with that tiny lens. Obviously could not tell what they were without turning on my scope but it didn’t matter to me, that’s not the purpose of this thing.
