Went to one of my regular spots that is an oat field right on the river, could make out at least 6 pigs feeding along the tree line by the river bank. DJ's methods must be starting to wear on me because I was about 3-4 shots per pig kill last night, not my best ratio. But, I did manage to get 5 down. First shot was trying to hit two with one bullet. Pretty sure I got a wound for both with first round.
After cleaning up their mess, I decided to go check some fresh corn fields that we have been pressuring the crap out of the hogs since last July. I was able to spot one lone boar way out by himself. After stalking in some of the strongest winds I have ever hunted in, I got about 50yds from him and gave him a good ole 6.8 two fer.
I measured his girth at 48.25 in, so somewhere around 275lbs probably.
