rgilbert has offered up his place near Caldwell Tx it will be October 18th. People are welcome to camp out over night spouses are welcome.



This is where we can hash out the get together I will update this first post as dates get confirmed and such.

The best weekend for us to bring the demo gear would be Saturday the 18th.

I'm in, no matter which weekend is chosen. I can be to Caldwell from my house in 45 minutes. I might even be able to talk a friend of mine into letting us stalk his place with the NV and Thermal. I can almost guarantee that we would not leave empty handed. I've never been to his place at night without seeing hogs and there a lot of big boars. He lives on county road 205 off of 21. Rgilbert how far is that from you?

ten to fifteen miles. I'm 8 miles north of Caldwell and about 6 south of Milano. TLM and I were looking at the weekend of the 18 so Ident could attend. Depending on the amount of people that show up it may be hard to plan a hunt. I need to build some type of backstop with poly barrels full of sand for a small shoot. I have access to several rifle targets. I will check with a buddy about him bringing up his auto reset steel. I don't think we need to have any full auto for the first gathering. Lets see how it plays out with the neighbors. BRD has a thermal hog target that we could LOOK at through thermal. He doesn't want anyone to shoot it. Cheap bastard. I have twenty acres and I keep five of it mowed short around the barn for a camping area. The other fifteen is a hay field so we can have a five hundred yard view with NV and thermal.

BTW no brass catchers are allowed. All brass becomes property of the host. JUST KIDDING

I think if we split it up with suppressed fire and regular fire it should not matter. One of my co-workers is a Sergeant on our SWAT team. He has a place 5 miles from me and shoots full auto there with no complaints. I don't have many close neighbors that live there. Most come up for the weekend. I don't mind the shooting as it lets certain individuals know to stay off of my property. LOL

The guy I hunt with across the road has agreed to take one lucky member on a late afternoon early night hunt. He is a active PD and experienced shooter and night hunter. He is the one that got me into this. TLM and I will decide how we are going to choose the lucky hunter.
