Do you use fixed blade or mechanical broad heads? I've always used the fixed as nothing to malfunction...they have a slightly different poi than field points and mechanicals but just adjust your sights ahead of time and you'll be gtg.
For me, a two blade (cut on contact) which is spooky sharp is the only way to go. Archers get hooked on this "kenetic energy" myth. The ONLY reason to have KE is to activate a mechanical wonder broadhead. A hunting weight arrow, with a cut on contact (SHARP) broadhead, moving with enough velocity to get penetration to vitals is what matters most.
I use both Depending on hunt situation This coming weekend will be fixed bladed
Magnus Stinger Buzzcuts and some 4 blade Slick tricks
If I am hunting out of a stand or tower with good shooting lanes I will use
mechanical
Spot and stalk or blind with some ground cover fixed only
