Local news story tonight. A middle aged man (Vet) arrives at the local VA Hospital ER entrance. The poor guy's got a fracture to his foot/ankle. He calls the ER desk to ask for someone to come out and help him from his car (20 feet from the door) and into the ER to be treated. Poor guy's told: "Call 911" and they hung up on him.

He's received a written/verbal apology from the local VA Hospital, and staff are receiving training. It's Federal Law which mandates hospitals to treat people who arrive there for treatment.

I've heard many horror stories about this country's VA Hospitals. It's really sad that our Vets and military can't get good medical care.
