    Howdy

Welcome to the forum. This forum is becoming my new hangout... lots of good folks here, that have come from all over the interwebs. Appreciate your photo. My first hog was with a .223 Varming Special Remington SPS; shot with a 40gr vmax, straight to the brain pan. I quickly upgraded to the...

    Veterans Xtreme Adventures

I appreciate that. I may not share 100% of the brotherhood, but I'm very thankful to the friends and relatives that have welcomed me regardless. And now that I own and operate STA, my goal is to operate it to facilitate as much to give back as I possibly can!

Negative. Unfortunately for me, and I suppose the military, they chose to not allow me to continue the last week of basic training for on an EPTS (asthma) and I wasn't able to continue training. 82 is the year I was born.

    Veterans Xtreme Adventures

hahaha... I wish they were for sale. However, that is actually a portion of the wonderful walnut displays that my dad made me for taking photos or displaying at the shop. He made me two, but for some reason, identical mag dimensions... me thinks it's time for a .308 mag block now :D

    Veterans Xtreme Adventures

Thank you; If it weren't for guys like Paul and Matt, I wouldn't have had much to go off of.... this rifle is ultimately for Paul, as Matt has mentioned he has his favorite rifle to shoot; Paul on the other hand did not. Paul's a retired weapons sergeant, and former ODA group member.... so...

    Veterans Xtreme Adventures

In March, I had the pleasure of being invited to the Annual Hog Roundup in Halletsville, Texas for the Texas Dog Hunter's Association. While there, I was introduced to two gentlemen that run and oversee the Non-profit under the name Veterans Xtreme Adventures. They are a 501(c)3 organization...

    How We Did It/Thanks Glen

Good job. I first learned of Glenn's calling strategy's on the Fox Pro Predator Talkcast (podcast that's hosted by Brian Downs), and most people that hunted hogs with me thought I was completely crazy when i took a foxpro out to call in pigs one night... Needless to say, they didn't think I...

    Custom Knives for sale

I purchased some "custom" knives from Jason Fry of Abilene, TX a few months back, and as customs usually are, it took some time and I didn't get them until after hunting season. These knives feature a 158CM blade material. Hand polished. 3" drop point skinner, 7-7/8" overall length. Jason...

    Just a fun pic!!

That's pure awesome, Mike. I think that folks that grow their own veggies and fruits should definitely look into having a hive. Makes complete sense... at least to me it does.

Texas Company Trains Veterans to Shoot Hogs from Helicopters

This is pretty cool. We are working with Veteran Xtreme Adventures to help wounded combat veterans go on "Xtreme" hunting adventures... finishing a rifle for them currently for them to use on rifle hunts. Any time a non-profit is truly seeking to help those that have helped fight abroad for...

My first hog hunt in a WHILE....

Funny you should say that. Dad has a STA 6.8 rifle. The .223 is a Troy Carbine. They're newbie hunters, and the dad, being humble about it all, wanted the kiddo to shoot his first animal on this trip before he took one. However, it was abundantly clear that the pigs we were shooting at...

    Howdy from South Texas....

True... I've not had much time for anything lately. I still lurk on the 68F a bit, but with the new firearms business, and the fact that I am inundated with leasing oil properties down south, it's just not fair to the family to be on the board as much. I'll try to keep my appearances made...

My first hog hunt in a WHILE....

It's no worries man. There'll be other opportunities, for sure. Soon as I get another planned, you'll be one of the first to know about it. Appreciate you letting me know you couldn't make it though; and before you sent a deposit... I would've sent it back to you anyway though. The father...

My first hog hunt in a WHILE....

So in March, South Texas Arms celebrated it's anniversary ... and in doing so, I offered a hunt for folks that were interested. Unfortunately due to timing (I guess) or something, we only had 2 fellas show up to hunt with me: a Father and Son duo. Good group of guys. Dad is a customer of...
