Pre-flight then hunt

I am starting this a little early so hopefully I don't come up empty. LOL.

One of the farmers I hunt for has about 2,000 acres of corn planted and has been getting hit pretty hard. I have only been able to hunt 2 nights which amounted to 4 pigs. He has been hunting a bit more and has gotten roughly 25-30. He called me today and asked if I would come out and just so happens I have no plans. Load UP!!!!!

The fun part is I am getting their early because the farmers flys and has a little plane. We are going up to scout all his places for damaged areas and then heading back to hunt the fields. Hopefully it is a good night and I will post results tomorrow.

I would say come get me but I traded my 556. for a 6.8 and traded my other 6.8 for a trailer and now the only 6.8 AR I have the Burris scope mount broke and I haven't found a replacement. No hunting! And my big ranch called and said no hunting for a month or so while calving. Getting the shakes already.

Still out here. On our aerial scouting trip we saw 3 sounders containing around 50 pigs total. Guest they got there fill because I've seen 1 small group of 8-10. Got 2 before they made it in the woods. Both boars with the largest around 200lbs.

Burris PEPR. I sent it to them with a note saying "this broke". Who knows when I'll here back from them. lol

I called Burris when mine broke. They mailed me a spare screw and nut. Might try calling. They may just send you a new one.

I sent it last week, no explanation, just that it broke. Got a UPS package today, with a brand new one. It did have a scratch so maybe from their pile of rejects but it is new and I have a black Sharpie so I am very satisfied.

We cheat and use a drone to survey the crops and fields.. Keeps our scent and truck tracks out of the fields and the farmer can see what everything looks like and enjoys it as much as we do.
