I am not sure of the geologic definition of a swamp, but this guy and his buddies were in the spring fed, water laden, boot sucking, vegetation filled, stinking mud flat that was full of flying bugs (many of which were mosquitoes) at one end of a small private lake. So it felt like a swamp, LOL.

I think this was part of a small group of hogs I saw the previous week in the immediate area. Now, they are short a member.

Those of us who hunt rough terrain on a regular basis have an appreciation for the slog that goes into just getting a marginal shot – which you made the most of.

When hosting a guest new to night hunting with thermal, there are coupla videos I have them watch beforehand, including the target identification from TLM.
