Ooh? Swinging the hammer again huh? I'm looking at getting away from the wrenches and go back to pushing dirt for Calfire. I like working for the fire depts but the bench pressing of 80lbs starters is getting old.

Lol I know the feeling. I was supposed to have the 4th off (would have been my first full weekend off in 3 month and first 3 day weekend since Christmas). Got called in at 930 Saturday morning and worked 16s until this last Friday. Turned my work phone off Friday night and will turn it back on in the morning.
Anyway, this house was built 1880ish, all redwood, no foundation, bat and board. It's a bag of worms when you start working on things!

I unnerstan'... my house is pre-1900 as well. Need to strip the roof to the rafters and sheath/shingle it, and do some rafter tail/fascia repairs... and then there's the plumbing chores... the water heater in need of replacing... gotta love OLD houses.

I thought about you when I heard Comifornia got even more stupider (if that's possible) and wondered how you've been.
Im going to be a felon soon if the NRA and CalGuns guys dont get their act in gear. Roughly 95% of all semi auto pistols and 85% of all semi auto rifles are going to be illegal Jan 1st, if I read the bills correctly. Oh, and I cant loan a gun or ammo to anyone but immediate family, and only for less than 30 days.
I could re-register everything, for a 85/gun fee, and then be subject to inspections and confiscation if the state so desires.
There is a new bullet button thing that *maybe* gets me out of the BS. Not sure yet. Makes it an even bigger PITA to change mags, have to pull rear take down pin and open the action up, then mag change and reassemble. Nothing for the pistols yet.
Typical Cali BS glad I live where I do.
