Good Weapon Target Interaction - 225 lb Boar

I have been doing a little reading on trauma in military situations and what they call "weapon target interaction." Sounds like a convoluted way to say "terminal ballistics" but I like it. :)

I ended up shooting the hog pretty quickly after he appeared, so there isn't much preliminary video. He was making a prolonged security check and didn't have to move too far to be lost from view. After losing a couple hogs recently that got hinky and didn't seem to like the situation, I just went ahead and popped him.

Maybe somebody can explain this to me. When I took him apart, the lungs appeared to be in pieces, but he screamed after being shot and no blood was found around the muzzle. Maybe only one lung was destroyed and the other was lost in the soup? Don't know. While searching for the bullet, the only tissue in the soup that stayed together was the heart and it was badly damaged.

I would say that the 129 gr. Nosler Accubond LR had good weapon target interaction.

The scream with no lungs was the demon coming out of the rotten beast!
Nice job on the hog and the next may have an extra demon in it....2 screams???

Nothing like a target pop DRT. Thanks for taking the time dissect the victim so we can learn what happen when bullets enter a hog or a body for that matter. It would have been nice to find bullet.

Being a spitzer bullet I am surprised you couldn't find it.
Maybe shoot one into some ballistic gel to get a visual of actual expansion.
I don't know what velocities you are producing but I doubt you are in the 3000 FPS range.
Above 3200 FPS bullet will begin to disintegrate.
Just keep shooting you'll recover a bullet eventually.
Great video as always.

A good batch of Borscht there. LOL You definitely put a major hurt on that feller. That A.B. is a pretty fart smeller, opting for ice cream.

Well, there was no wound channel to follow. The bullet entered, hit the heart, and then as you saw in the video, everything else in the chest cavity was lumpy tomato soup. I felt along the rib cage, liver, and went through the lumps but found nothing hard such a bullet or bone fragments. I am sure it must have penetrated deeper than I thought or otherwise ended up in a fold where I didn't expect it. A metal detector would have been nice.
