Sorry about all the spammers as of late they seem to have found us. I'm banning the IP's as they show their ugly heads.

It really is a serious issue and part of what helped kill www.wildhoghunters.com. They are still there, but the only consistent posts are by spammers. The mods got busy with other things and the site went into the crapper.

So just curious, on the opening screen in the little "Members Online Now" box, is the designation of "robots" going to be spammer engines trying to figure out how to auto-post?

No the robots are good they are mapping the site for search engines like google. The more robots the more popular the forum.
