Removing stuck flash suppressor...

I want to buy my first can but I've got a stainless steel barrel and the SS flash suppressor won't screw off. Don't want to destroy this *** barrel, any suggestions?

Barrel vise clamps around the barrel. Rosin/friction tape/leather... to help gripping of the barrel. If the device won't break loose, give it a hosing with a good penetrating oil and do a mag dump to heat it up (allowing the oil to penetrate better). Repeat the vise clamp routine.

Try heating with a hand torch but just to get hot but not too hot

Frank - What about a electric heat gun, instead of a torch...maybe easier to control the heat?

I don't think it will get hot enough but might help to get the penetrating oil to flow and help there.
