Dice a couple pounds of smoked ham.
1 lb. of dry Navy Beans
Blender-1 large onion, 4 cloves of garlic, a cup of water to a fine chop
1/2 t. salt
1 Bay Leaf
Fresh ground black pepper
1 heavy drop of Dave's Insanity hot sauce
Half a dozen shakes of jalapeño pepper sauce
Half a dozen shakes of Chipotle hot sauce
1 t. Bacon Fat
6 Cups of water.

Dumped it all into a Pressure Cooker, seal it up, set it for 20 mins. Release the pressure when done.

Oh my... so savory and good!

Alternative means of cooking: Heat water and beans to boiling in a Dutch Oven. Boil 2 mins., remove from heat, cover and let stand for an hour.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling, reduce heat. Cover and simmer, skimming off foam occasionally, until beans are tender, about 75 mins. If allowed to boil, beans will burst. Add water if needed during cooking.

Less than 150 calories per cup.
