First Zeus Video

Lancer was nice enough to host me on another hunt at his place. I was able to make my first recording with the zeus 640 75mm and UMDVR. I'm still getting used to the scope and am not performing as well as I would like. Things always get better with time.

This group of hogs was on the edge of shoulder to head high brush so the action was short. We put two down in the clearing. We had a total of 5 for the night.

Nice video, and good shooting. I have the same thermal, but a different DVR. Haven't been able to get a video yet. It's a steep learning curve. As you said it gets better each time we go out, we learn to eliminate the previous pitfalls. Good luck.

The UNDVR and filter cable from DAVEABQ make it pretty easy. I had to build a mount to hold the dvr to the side of the zeus, but isn't a requirement. I did it because I didn't care for the available factory mounts. Using the remote in switch that comes with the UMDVR it takes one extra button to start recording. Watching the wires when going through brush and in/out of the truck is the trick.

The field was split in two, half in 7' tall sorghum; half freshly plowed. They were just barely out in the plowed ground.
