    I just joined the group, and I am not quite sure if this is eligible for entry, (I'll get a tape for future kills) please educate me if it is not. Nice boar from Collin County, Texas last week.

    Looks like a nice one. You have to tape him out and or weigh him and has to be visible. Rules are posted in this section second one down in the.
    LSB SUS VENATOR CLUB RULES.
    You can also use the search bar. And I am sure someone will post the the taping procedure too. NICE PORKER!! BANG BANG!!

    It smells like a Sus from here but can't tell without a tape.
    Nice big hog either way!

    Is this the accepted method of measuring for a weight estimate?

    HEART GIRTH x HEART GIRTH x BODY LENGTH / 400 = ANIMAL WEIGHT IN POUNDS.

    If it is not, please tell me what method would be acceptable.

    I've never really cared what they weighed, just been happy to get them off the feed bill!

    Thanks.

    Just measure around the chest, directly behind the front leg, pull it snug. If it's 47" then it is considered a 270# hog. {47 x 10 = 470 - 200 = 270}

    I carried a small tape measure with me until I killed my Sus Hog and haven't cared since. Just like killing them.

    Regardless of measurements, that is a nice hog down! I hope he tapes in for ya.
