    Conditioning leather DIY remedies

I use saddle soap to clean the leather first, or streaming hot towels if they are really dirty. Then a high quality leather oil/ conditioner. I've used the stuff RD mentioned on my white's boots and it is good stuff. I've also used leather honey on larger things like saddles and leather seats...

    Trophy doe hunt

It depends on the county your hunting in. North and Central Texas general season already ended. South Texas general season ends next weekend. Then it's spike and antlerless for another few weeks. For those on our MLD Program, it ends the last day of February regardless of location within the state.

It was 28 at 8am this morning down here on the border. Way too cold for this far south.

    Advice on liability needed

Texas was able to strengthen its liability laws to benefit landowners and their agents in 2015. There is the option of some signs or some very specific verbiage to be included on a hold harmless agreement for the new law to apply. Give me some time and I will find you a link. You could also pm...

    IPHONE GPS?? HAPPY THANKSGIVING too!!:)

What I have seen people with Apple devices use is motionx. You can save waypoints, tracks, routes, and export them to a computer or other device to back them up or use on multiple devices if you want.

    Breaking Tools Sucks

Very nice RD. I probably would have started taking it apart only hoping I would get everything put back together correctly!

    Opening morning

Nice deer! Great to see the young ones hunting, and suppressed too. I worked opening weekend. Won't be able to hunt for at least a few weeks. I'm ready for some more meat in the freezer though.

    Colorado Elk Hunt

I believe it. We drove as far as we could and then hiked anywhere from 4 to 8 miles a day. We hunted the bottoms, dark timber, meadows and the higher elevations. We tried spot and stalk and sitting at the edge of meadows. We didn't even see an elk. They were there somewhere though, we had game...

    Colorado Elk Hunt

Looks like no elk meat this year. It rained pretty hard this morning and we didn't hunt because of it. We are licking our wounds and headed home. It'll only be 22hr drive back home... We had a damn good time though. I got to hang out with good friends and made a new one. Still a successful...

    Colorado Elk Hunt

Still hunting the Glenwood area. Saw a bunch of mulies again, both bucks and does. Wish they had OTC tags for a buck! Started raining last night and it's been stop and go since. We didn't go hunting this morning as it's 45 degrees on the bottom and probably 30 or cooler wth freezing rain or...

    Colorado Elk Hunt

Yup that's what I've heard. We hiked in at least an hour after driving in quite a ways. Where we went we barely saw any other hunters. It's just hard hunting the dark timber areas. Shots are real close, but you have to be QUICK. Edit... Hopefully we will get a call that the elk have come back...

    Colorado Elk Hunt

We talked to some locals including the hay farmer leasing the property and they told us the elk usually stay in the river bottoms and only go about half way up the mountains. Nothing but BLM land on top and on the other side. We drove up and there are at least 7 camps up there. We are hoping...
