For me, that's not a big deal. How does the picture compare to a REAP IR? Obviously, you're comparing 320 vs 640, but I'm wondering about the picture clarity between the two.

Thru the lens view would be nice, unless video is about the same quality.
Is the image 1x view or slightly smaller?

Less than 10mm lens vs 35mm lens? They’re two totally different products. I think the video out is pretty good.

What would be a better choice for helmet mount? For spot and stalk style hunting.

Is it possible to have 1 as a spotter and another PVS14 for walking through the brush?

The breach isn’t mating to helmets in the manner that was expected from what I’ve read. Not good reports so far. Don’t know if Todd has tried it.

Let me be clear. It’s helmet mountable, but the positioning of the optic is not ideal....which seems bizarre.

Here's a few pics from the Breach. I have about a week behind this unit now. Got a good deal on it so I decided to give it a try. Primarily wanted to use it in the woods and in the tree stand while bow hunting. Was hoping the image quality would be a little better but about what I expected from a 320 core and 9.1 mm lens. Haven't played with the settings much so I may not be getting the best image possible. The controls are a little stiff and the menu is slightly cumbersome due to this. Very light and compact unit. These images are on par with what you see through the unit.

I’ve got my hands on one to play with this weekend.

Here in the house I like it just fine. I have absolutely zero experience of owning a pvs14 or a helmet, or a helmet mount device of any sort prior to obtaining this to know if anything is out of alignment.

Helmet loose and not strapped to my chin I can easily position helmet to get correct alignment. Chin strapped in place, it’s a little harder.

So what is not correct about the unit?

What mount are the using? Not all mounts are created equal.

I really liked playing around with my buddies breach last night. I think I burn through three batteries but it’s pretty cool.

I think I would personally be in the market for a 640 version but this one is no slouch.

I’ve never tried to walk around with anything attached to my head like that, both eyes open and full moon very bright skies, the field of view seems to match closely to the human eye field of view.

With the unit set to black hot, the display image color seemed to match the color that I was seeing naturally from my other eye at the same time.

It was bright enough that I would have never turned on a flashlight at all to navigate, and would love to get this out on a black dark night or in the woods on a black night to see how well you could navigate with it?

I also like the variable zoom better than the wayy PTS 233 zooms in 2X increments.

I could see deer and armadillos out across open fields farther away than I thought I would be able to with that tiny lens. Obviously could not tell what they were without turning on my scope but it didn’t matter to me, that’s not the purpose of this thing.

I just got an IR Patrol, but wish I tried a Breach out, as the price is 1/3.
My concern was if the FOV and image size was a true 1x like the pvs14 is.
Selling a head mounted unit that is not a true 1x view is something I expect from ATN, not IR patrol/Trijicon or FLIR. Objects need to superimpose with other eye to make using the device head mounted function with your brain. The small difference will be compensated for by most people's brain but having it match up optically is the right way of doing it.

And man is the IR Patrol super clear, like a B/W day camera.
Some stadium lights are about 300yds away from my house, and each individual light in the cluster can be counted without using the 2x or 4x digital zoom.

I’m still on the fence about buying a breach. I already have a IR Patrol (my favorite thermal mono) and a Pulsar Helion XP28.

My main interest with the breach is to have a lite/mini thermal mono to carry in my work daypack 24/7 just in case type use.

Im going to wait for the 640model and hope they put a microphone in it. The current model doesn't record sound.

Yep I would also perfer their 640 just really don’t know how long that will be.
3/6/9/12 months maybe longer who knows with how long it took for the 320’s to really happen.

My plan is to consider upgrading to 640’s when they come out. The 320’s are nice for the price but I’m sure I’d rather have a 640.
