Next Trijicon thermal update?

Howdy,

Anyone that follows the market have an idea when the next release of an updated Trijicon thermal unit might be?

I've been drooling over the REAP-IR but I'm only able to buy used equipment and updates are usually the best opportunity to get a good deal :)

A more fierce competition in the thermal market would help us consumers too, but I wouldn't be betting on that for a while.

I'm not sure what you two are disputing, Rookie's first post was the same as the ad, but Curly seemed to have seen something different.

To a large degree, I think this is correct. What I've seen though, is that the prices all match but the 'free' accessories differ. It looks to be a way to offer a better deal without truly starting a price war.
Perhaps one could negotiate a better price by offering to forego the accessories, but remember the list price for said accessories isn't the same as dealer cost so any such discount would be less than the advertised price of the extras. AND, there's no guarantee such a deal would be accepted.
Anyway, you're right someone is paying for the freebies, and in the end it's the buyer. As Robert Heinlein wrote in "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", TANSTAAFL …

That cobber is one dinkum thinkum. That's one of my favorite books. Loonies unite!! U usually get a substantial retail $ amt of free accesories even if you only use half of them its often worth it
