We came out to our property for the holiday weekend. I brought my 300 HAM’R and 350 Legend to hunt with. The first night this old boar came in to the feeder just after midnight. I took him with the 300 HAM’R using the 150gr SST. It did a great job on the 125 yard shot with a green light on the feeder. He didn’t go far and he left a large blood trail easy to follow.
The next night the 350 Legend was up. This larger boar came in around 4 am. I took him with the 170gr Hornady SP round. I could hear him crash not far from the blind. This light colored raccoon stayed around too long after I shot the hog so he got a Legend round also. Not only was this raccoon blond looking he didn’t have a tail.
I really like both the HAM’R and the Legend. They both work great so I just need enough hogs so I don’t have to pick one round over the other.
