The boar was taken at 230 yards and the skunk at 170. For thermal hunting 230 yards on a hog isn't extremely far, but it is longer than is typical. 170 yards on the skunk in high humidity, I thought was pretty cool.
Actually saw the landowner when I arrived on property. From 20 feet away, he told me of a hog he had seen a few minutes prior, just south of where I would be hunting. Timely information is always nice.
