I received a video camera for Christmas and didn't bring it with me. Thought about but said nah. Anyway, big mistake as it would of made for some good footage.
As I got closer to the trap I could tell the door was down and something was in it. Got closer and started to count 1, 2, 3, 4.....crap #4 is on the outside and running away. Get closer and realize there were piglets running around everywhere. I made a split decision to try to earhole the boar instead of chase piglets around. Pulled out rifle and stuck one in his neck on the run. Dust flies up but he keeps going. Oh well. Turn around and start dealing with piglets. These were small and squealing. They would squeeze out of the 4 x 4 squares on the trap only to realize momma wasn't with them so some of them would try to squeeze back in. The others were making for the trees. Shame I didn't have my dog cause she would run them down as they got out and "deal" with them. After the shooting stopped and multiple reloads on .22 ended up with 7 dead piglets, 3 dead fertile mommas, and a boar with a sore neck.
Nice way to close the year.
